Terms of Service
Last updated October 23, 2026
Draft for counsel review. Not legal advice.
The short version
Play fair, be decent in shared spaces, and don’t rely on Shot Lab for safety. Your rounds are yours. Map edits you contribute become part of a shared map. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in the App Store or Google Play.
These terms are an agreement between you and Shot Lab LLC for the Shot Lab apps and website. By using Shot Lab you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
Who can use Shot Lab
You must be at least 13, or 16 where local law requires, and able to agree to these terms. Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
Your content
You own your rounds, scores and profile. To run the service, you give us a license to store, display and process them as you choose in your settings. Map edits, hints and condition reports you contribute are licensed to Shot Lab and other players to use in the shared course map, including after you delete your account, in de-identified form. Shot Lab’s maps include OpenStreetMap data, available under the Open Database License; where contributions include OpenStreetMap data, the Open Database License applies to that data.
Rules for shared spaces
Follow the Community Guidelines. We can remove content and suspend accounts that break them.
Leagues and events
Shot Lab doesn’t collect or pay out money for leagues or events. Directors who collect fees, run payouts or hold ace pots do it outside Shot Lab, and they’re responsible for that money and for following local law.
Subscriptions
Pro and Pro+ are sold through the App Store and Google Play. See Subscriptions and Billing for renewal, trials, cancellation, founder pricing and refunds.
Play safe
Disc golf is an outdoor sport with real risks. Distances, maps, routes to the next tee, Caddie suggestions and weather alerts are estimates and can be wrong. Don’t use Shot Lab for navigation in dangerous terrain, and look before you throw. Shot Lab is not a medical device; health figures are estimates and aren’t medical advice.
Our service
We work hard to keep Shot Lab available but can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or end features; if we end a paid feature you’ve paid for, we’ll offer a fair remedy.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Shot Lab is provided “as is”, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
Disputes
Contact support@shotlab.app first; most problems are solved that way. If not, US users agree to individual binding arbitration and waive class actions, except for small-claims matters, and may opt out within 30 days of signing up by emailing legal@shotlab.app. Delaware law governs. If you live in the EU or UK, you keep the protections and courts of your home country.
Changes
We’ll give notice in the app before material changes take effect. Continuing to use Shot Lab after that means you accept them.
