The short version

Shot Lab is built on open map data, public-domain imagery and open-source software. These are the sources and their licenses.

Map data

  • Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. Shown on every map. The course directory and some tee and basket positions come from OpenStreetMap under the ODbL.
  • Elevation and aerial imagery: USGS 3D Elevation Program and USDA NAIP (public domain).
  • Tree canopy height: Meta and World Resources Institute, under CC BY 4.0.

Weather

Apple Weather and other data sources. The Apple Weather mark appears wherever we show forecasts.

Rules

Rule summaries are based on the PDGA Official Rules of Disc Golf. Shot Lab is not affiliated with the PDGA.

Software

Shot Lab is built with open-source software. Full license texts are in the app under Settings › About › Licenses. Rules Ask runs gpt-oss (Apache-2.0).

Icons and fonts

Phosphor Icons (MIT). Figtree and Nunito (SIL Open Font License); the license ships with the fonts at shotlab.app/fonts/OFL.txt.
